The Modern Witch's Guide to Samhain
A mini online course to guide you in understanding and celebrating the pagan sabbat of Samhain
Celebrate the Most Magickal Day of the Year
Upon completion of this course, you will have the practical tools and inspiration you need to have a magickal Samhain or Halloween!
Samhain is celebrated each year on October 31. It is a day of magick and witchcraft and is the final sabbat in the Wheel of the Year. This sabbat is often considered the most magickal day of the year and it is said that the veil between worlds is thinnest on this day. On Samhain, we celebrate witches, our ancestors and the descent into winter.
Your instructors are practicing witches with almost two decades of combined, magickal experience. We believe witchcraft should be easily applicable to your modern, daily life and that your seasonal celebrations should suit your lifestyle and beliefs.
In this course, you will cover:
- What Is Samhain? We will answer your burning questions about what the sabbat represents and why we celebrate the spiritual side of Halloween in the first place.
- Recipes. Celebrate this witchy occasion with delicious recipes for Pumpkin Chili and Spiced Pumpkin Pie. You can also enact a little seasonal aromatherapy with the Samhain Essential Oil Diffuser Blend.
- Decor & Project Ideas. Write out your family tree on the provided worksheet to connect with your ancestors, then learn how to build an ancestor altar of your own. On the eve of Samhain, host a traditional dumb supper to honor the spirits and ancestors who walk among us on this day!
- Spells & Rituals. Deep dive into the astrology of Samhain and learn about which sign the sun passes through this time of year, as well as which full moon the sabbat is closest to and how it affects the magickal energies of the day. Hold your own Samhain ritual and learn to work more closely with your grimoire on this magickal day as well!
